GAME BASICS
Understanding 101f Fundamentals
Master the core concepts of 101f to build a successful fantasy strategy

The House and Scoring
In 101f, players aim to position their stones closest to the center of the "house" (target area). Teams score points for stones closer to the center than any of their opponent's stones.
Team Composition
A 101f team consists of four players: the Lead, Second, Third (Vice-Skip), and Fourth (Skip). Each player throws two stones per end, with the Skip typically directing team strategy.
Sweeping Technique
Sweeping is a crucial element of 101f that affects a stone's path and distance. Team members vigorously sweep the ice to reduce friction and influence the stone's trajectory.
Strategic Elements
101f is often called "chess on ice" because of its complex strategy. Players must consider stone placement, guards, takeouts, and freezes to outmaneuver opponents.
